A traditional Brazilian coconut dessert

We finish our special Brazilian food today with dessert: a quindim, delicious, delicious and sweet coconut custard. Childishly simple, this flan will be delicious served cold with some fruit.

  • Preheat your oven to 180 ° C. Put the shredded coconut in a bowl and add the warm water. Mix and let stand for 5 minutes.

  • Put the sugar, butter, egg yolks, coconut and its soaking water in the bowl of a blender (or in a blender) and mix everything for about 4 minutes. The dough must be fluid and homogeneous.

  • Butter generously 6 small molds and then line with icing sugar. Distribute the preparation in the molds, then place them on a plate that fills with boiling water 3/4 of the height of the molds.

  • Bake for 50 minutes and then let cool completely before going out. Chill at least 2 hours before serving, accompanied by fresh blueberries.
