Rolls rolled with shallots and bacon

What I really like about prepared bread flours is that everything is in the package, it is not necessary to chase bags of baker's yeast. Because at home, there was no shortage, every time I wanted to make bread, I realized that I had bought my flour but that I had forgotten the yeast … and there was no bread! At least with these preparations everything is in it, you just have to add water!

And as it is not because everything is ready, nothing should be done (huh, isn't it mine? ^ _ ^), Have fun adding seeds, shallots, nuts, etc … in the preparations to make many gourmet recipes!

I offer you today my rolls rolled with shallots and bacon. Delicious as it is for a snack or picnic, perfect to accompany a plate of cold cuts or cheese!

Total time: two hours 30 minutes

  • 500 g spelled bread preparation (or full or white, …)
  • 320 ml Water
  • 8 small shallot
  • 200 g smoked bacon
  • 80 g grated cheese + 20 g to brown the loaves
  • one c. coffee poppy seeds
  • Prepare the bread dough as indicated on the package, either on the MAP using the dough program or by hand.

  • While the bread is growing, finely chop the shallots. Brown the bacon in an ungreased pan for 2/3 minutes. Reserve the bacon and brown the shallots in the bacon fat until tender and golden brown.

  • Spread the dough on the work surface in a rectangle longer than wide, approximately 0.5 cm thick. Place the bacon, shallots and 80 g of grated cheese on the dough, then roll it crosswise, tightening well.

  • Cut into sections approximately 2 cm thick on a plate covered with baking paper. Lightly flatten the rolls. Let it grow under a damp cloth for 1 hour and 30 minutes.

  • When the breads have risen, brush them with water with a brush and then sprinkle with the rest of the grated cheese and poppy seeds.

  • Bake with a bowl of water for 10 minutes at 210 ° C hot air, then lower to 180 ° C and continue cooking for 5 minutes.
