Tarte tatin – Fruit dessert recipe


The famous dump cake! A classic but that always pleases so much when the apples are very tender and caramelized. Preferably, choose the reinettes for this cake: they are tasty and keep well when cooked.

  • Place the butter and sugar in a missing pan and simmer everything. Mix well and let the sugar caramelize in a beautiful golden caramel. Once the candy is ready, let it cool a little. Meanwhile, peel the apples and cut them into quarters.

  • Arrange the apples in the caramel, fill all the holes with small pieces. Put the pan back on the flame for 5 minutes to start cooking the apples, letting them absorb the caramel.

  • Spread your broken dough dough and place it on the dough, making the dough edges fit well into the mold.

  • Bake at 180 ° C for approximately 30 minutes (the dough should be golden brown and crispy). At the exit of the oven, turn the cake on a plate (be careful with the caramel that can drip!).

Serve alone or accompanied by whipped cream or vanilla ice cream!
